Equity Capital Markets (ECM) acts as the global equity product specialist and is the intermediary between advisory, equity research, equity sales and equity trading. ECM is responsible for the origination, structuring, syndication and execution of equity-related issues and provides equity advice on a range of advisory transactions for corporate clients. ECM's core products include initial public offerings (IPOs), rights issues, accelerated bookbuilds, block trades, pre-IPO financing and corporate broking solutions. ECM also includes product specialists for convertible bonds, exchangeable bonds and certain types of pre-IPO financing.

ECM is part of HSBC's Global Banking business, working very closely with our investment bankers and other product teams to ensure complete financing and advisory solutions are achieved for our clients.
